The shoe is adapted in the shorter version for a weight between 80-90 kg and with the extension 120 kg.            

Reinforced rails for better grip when walking on steep slopes where the snow is wind-packed and hard.

Better durability due to jointed metal details (i.e. no straps that can break).

A good shoe should have a raised section that is used when walking uphill, which relieves the calf muscle.
