The brake on the da Vinci is completely sealed, airtight and waterproof. It is built on multi-carbon discs and can stop almost anything you can throw a fly at.
The scroll is slightly different in its design so we pay tribute to an unusual man - Leonardo da Vinci - a man who had ideas that were hundreds of years ahead of development.
The brake is also built so that there is higher pressure inside the brake than outside. It makes it impossible for sand, water and other things to get in.
The brake is easy to adjust while fishing as the "brake control" practically covers the entire side of the reel it sits on.
You can use the palm of your hand to adjust the brake.
Once you've set up your reel for left or right cranking, you'll never need to go in and adjust anything else, the brake will last your life and maybe your heirs.
The reel is cut from aircraft aluminum, with really only one purpose - strength! da Vinci is built to work, no cheap, easy solutions, it's built the way A Jensen wanted it.
The roller mount stands on an oval base so your paw will not be damaged if you wrap it around the roller mount during transport.
The reel is maximally saltwater resistant.
